My Fancy Third-Person Bio

Dr. Ei-Ling Tan is a career acceleration strategist who specialises in fast-tracking the careers of professionals that want to make more impact, influence and income with a focus on leadership with integrity and responsibility.

She is a certified RAPID Results coach with over 18 years of corporate experience who hired, built and managed high performance teams around the world. Ei-Ling graduated with a Doctorate in Science before entering the corporate world. She not only secured her first role, but scored a promotion before her first day! Using the same techniques, her career moved fast, managing international teams within 2 years and eventually served on the Board of Directors in an international organisation to provide input and direction into their business strategies. It was during this time that she discovered her passion in helping people achieve their career goals through mentoring and championing their aspirations.

Today, Ei-Ling consults for the corporate world and is the Founder of Align and Accelerate, a coaching business that helps many to achieve their goals at their own pace through a successful ‘rinse and repeat formula’ that helps secure and retain the role you have been coveting.

She's an introvert who knows how to get career traction without excessive networking or self-promotion. She's also an avid baker and mother to a 6 year-old fur baby.

Hi! I'm the real Ei-Ling

I'm going to give you the straight-talking, non-fancy version of my bio here! When I finished my PhD, I really didn't know what the next step was and whether I should take the safe option and stay in academia. After taking time out, I tried to step into the corporate world only to find constant rejections and being reminded that I didn't have any experience, I wondered if I would ever get that break. It was frustrating, and demoralising! I later devised this formula that not only secured my first corporate job, but got promoted before my first day! The same method got me offers or more pay without trying. Before I knew it, I was offered a seat on the Board of Directors in an international company. Now I just teach this formula for those that are stuck or just want to accelerate their career for more impact, influence and income, FAST!

Outside of career acceleration

I am a serial renovator, avid baker and Fur Parent to a woolly labradoodle. I also hold a terrible record for sticking to any exercise routine and rely on the 20 years of past dance training to negate my food addiction!

Quite simply, I created a formula for people to break through their career barriers with complete ease!

 Way too often, talented people with the capabilities and qualities to become a good leader, give up their ambitions. We have also seen the effects of leaders that have less-than-genuine intentions- mass resignations, fractured workplace cultures and career progression for a chosen few.

The reasons why good people leave vary, but a certain proportion tend to known as 'quiet achievers'. The ones that not only KNOW the groundwork, but take pride in their work, and put in the effort without bragging or self promotion. They see through the glossy 'management speeches' and can identify root problems very quickly. They are often quiet but very approachable, professional and will not engage in superficial networking. In short, they are authentic and bring integrity into their work and organisation.

I also see a lot of people that get stuck in their career journey without knowing why, or how to get ahead. The reasons vary, but are actually a lot easier to identify than they think.

I am a firm believer that we continue to need leaders with genuine intention and want to help those with plans to make an impact do so without delay or detours.  That's why I share the formula that I used to many so they gain traction in their career on their own terms. The cool thing is, they actually become their own career coach. This rinse and repeat formula can be applied at all stages of the career journey and shows you how to become the leader that everyone will want to follow if that's what you choose.
